Welcome to Brooklyn Public Library (BPL), where every day we connect thousands of people to the resources and tools that they need to achieve their goals.
For those who want to learn a new language, we offer English classes and world language instruction. We help children learn to read through our early literacy programs and achieve better grades through one-on-one homework help. We provide a gateway to technology to thousands of Brooklynites through our free wireless internet and 1,100 internet-accessible public computers. We help people learn new technology skills at the Shelby White and Leon Levy Information Commons and connect jobseekers with employers who are hiring through ourWorkforce1 Career Centers. We also host Pulitzer Prize-winning authors, world-renowned musicians and acclaimed visual and performing artists as part of our cultural and recreational programs.
For anyone who wants to read a good book, we can help too. BPL has over three million titles! You’ll also enjoy exploring our collection of eBooks, eAudiobooks and online Music, accessible on our website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with your library card.
