Philosophy:
Combining the nurturing environment of the Jewish home and tradition with widely recognized methodologies for early childhood development, Gan Eden provides a rich educational and social environment for preschoolers.
Gan Eden employs educators knowledgeable in Jewish culture literature and Hebrew. In addition, they are well versed in the latest U.S. and Israeli Early Childhood Educational programming, as well as elements of the Reqio Emilia and Montessori schools.
All areas of your child’s development: emotional, social and cognitive, are important. Gan Eden takes a holistic approach in providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in which your child can realize his/her personal potential.

Program –—Jewish Heritage

1. Develop familiarity with holiday symbols and their meanings.
2. Acquiring social values such as an appreciation of freedom, honesty, friendly relationships, mutual aid.
3. Developing an ability to enjoy holidays (“Yom Tov”).
4. Develop awareness of the unique customs of Jews from other cultures (Ashkenazi, Mizrachi, Sfaradi).
5. Learning the stories of the Holidays.
6. Nurturing a Jewish national identity and an understanding of the uniqueness of Eretz Yisrael and the connection of the Jewish people to the Land.
7. Developing an awareness of the stories of the Bible as the foundation for Jewish and humanistic values.
8. Exposure to Hebrew, the language of the Bible.
9. Will teach the morning prayer and “Bircat Hmazon”
10. Visit the Synagogue on holidays.
11. “Kabalat Shabbat” will be celebrated every Friday with songs and stories
