GO GREEN! BROOKLYN FESTIVAL IN MCCARREN PARK

Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY: On Saturday June 1st, 2019 from 12 to 5 PMGo Green! Brooklyn Festival will celebrate our 12th year in McCarren Park with the North Brooklyn community and local environmental programs. Park-goers can engage with and learn about sustainability initiatives while sampling local food, participating in live-action art projects, and enjoying musical performances for all ages!

·       Live Music for adults and kids by Abbie Roper, All the Things, Anna Banana, The Good Ms. Padgett, Hopalong Andrew, Jen Urban and the Box, Parks Puppet Mobile, Shakuri, Williamsburg School of Music, and more.

·       Greencycle Swap! Clothing, toys, books, home goods, & more.

·       Green Educational displays by local schools and local advocacy groups

·       Sampling and cooking demos by local chefs and foodies

·       Free Fitness Workshops curated by Breakin’ Boundaries

·       Children’s Pop-Up Playground by Brooklyn Boulders and more

For 12 years, Go Green! Brooklyn Festival has brought together community organizations, companies, advocacy groups, schools and individuals to share and support local environmental initiatives, news, events and opportunities. The Festival seeks to increase participation in environmental programs and make our communities better places to live. Go Green! Brooklyn Festival is hosted by Town Square, a community-based 501(c)(3) organization in Greenpoint and Williamsburg. Town Square offers family-friendly events and programs for the community throughout the year.
