About us

The New York Lizards of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) were founded in 2001 as one of the league’s six original teams. Formerly the Long Island Lizards, the team won the Steinfeld Cup in its inaugural season, 2001, as well as in 2003. In 2013, the Lizards played five of their home games at Hofstra University’s Shuart Stadium and two games at Randall’s Island’s Icahn Stadium.

The New York Lizards are owned by majority owner Medallion Financial Corp, Vice Chairman, Richard Mack, and other investors.

Games and Tickets

The Lizard’s season runs from late April until mid-August, playing seven games at home and seven away. Special packages to Lizards games are available for birthday parties, Family Fun Packs, fundraisers, and group outings. Individual game tickets start at just $15. Clinics take place in the fall and winter, and are generally two to three hours in length. Clinics are also held throughout the tri-state area.  Different clinics are held for boys of varying ages and skill levels.
